Kareena Kapoor Applauds Senior Stars Rani Mukerji, Tabu Outshining Younger Talent With Hard Work; Read What She Says

In a recent Forbes India interview, Kareena Kapoor boldly asserted that actors from her generation are surpassing their younger counterparts in dedication and effort.

She emphasised the need for the media to refrain from age-shaming, drawing a parallel with the fair treatment given to male contemporaries.

Kareena on Rani, Tabu

In a recent interview, Kareena Kapoor passionately praised Rani Mukerji and Tabu, labeling them as the most talented actors in the Indian film industry.

According to Kareena, Rani’s cinematic prowess and transformative on-screen presence captivate audiences, while Tabu stands out as one of the finest actors the industry has ever witnessed.

Kareena emphasised that age is irrelevant when it comes to these exceptional performers, as they continue to entertain without limitations.

Furthermore, she highlighted her upcoming collaboration with Tabu in “The Crew” and reminisced about starring alongside Rani Mukerji in the 2002 romantic film “Mujhse Dosti Karoge,” directed by Kunal Kohli.

Doing better than the ‘younger lot’

Kareena passionately asserted, “These actors are outperforming even the younger lot. We’re all eager to embark on new projects. Age is now just a number and should not be a topic of discussion.

Just as the age of the older actors isn’t questioned, why are we being asked?” Kareena also contended that while male stars may often receive credit for box office success, her 2019 romantic comedy “Good Newwz,” directed by Raj Mehta and grossing ₹318 crore, prominently featured the female protagonist—herself paired with Akshay Kumar.

Looking ahead, Kareena is set to appear in Hansal Mehta’s Netflix India crime thriller “The Buckingham Murders.”

Additionally, she will grace the big screen in two theatrical releases: “The Crew,” a heist comedy co-starring Tabu, Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kapil Sharma, and Rohit Shetty’s action ensemble “Singham Again,” alongside Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar.
