Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel is ready to make a comeback to the screen after a long time with the sequel to her hit film ‘Gadar’. As the release date of the film is coming near, the actress along with the rest of her team is promoting the film in full swing. In such a situation, she is continuously making many revelations about her career. Not only this, Ameesha is not backing down from making allegations. This is making her hit hitting headlines almost everyday.

After accusing her director and producer Anil Sharma of mismanagement on the sets, Ameesha has now made some allegations against other actresses of her time. In her recent interview, the actress claimed that people including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Esha Deol, Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan among others were jealous of her success. She accused some of them of snatching films from her.

While interaction with a media portal, Ameesha said, “When I stepped into the film industry, only the children of film actors or the children of producers used to debut with me. Star kids who debuted with me included Kareena, Abhishek, Hrithik, Tusshar, Esha, and Fardeen. Whenever you turned your head, there used to be a third generation person from one or the other film family. I was an outsider and I looked upon South Bombay as a snobbery anyway because I was an educated outsider. I was the one who kept calm on the sets, I used to read books and not gossip. That’s why I was called an outsider because I chose to study.”

The actress also recalled how she rose to fame with ‘Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai’ despite having no godfather in the industry. She claimed that her colleagues in the industry could not tolerate her success. Ameesha stated, “One success after another had made Hrithik and me the heartbeat of the country overnight. After ‘Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai’ came Gadar and then ‘Badri’. Be it Telugu, Tamil or Hindi cinema, God was kind to me. He knew I didn’t have a godfather, so he gave me successful films, but my co-actors couldn’t handle it.”

Taking her point further, Ameesha quoted, ‘It was all about jealousy. Contemporaries like Kareena and Esha snatched films from under your nose. I didn’t realize it at that time. I signed my films, blocked my dates but then suddenly I was fired. After a few months, someone else was working on that film.”

For the unversed, Ameesha Patel made her Bollywood debut with Rakesh Roshan’s ‘Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai’ alongside Hrithik Roshan in 2000. The film did wonders at the box office. It made Ameesha and Hrithik overnight stars.

Meanwhile, Ameesha is all set to reprise the role of Sakina in ‘Gadar 2: The Katha Continues’. The film will release in theaters on 11 August, 2023.
