Kareena Kapoor Khan discussed the difficult period she went through after the Taimur name dispute hit the news and she was faced with her newborn kid. Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about the horrible experience she had shortly after the birth of her first kid, Taimur Ali Khan, in 2016.
The Pataudis’ decision to name their first child “Taimur” infuriated the country, and many people questioned it. They believed it was retained in memory of the brutal emperor Timur. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan never actually discussed the issue individually, though. Kareena, however, opened up about the same thing for the first time and explained how she found out about it in the hospital room.
Kareena Kapoor Khan revealed the public anger against them for naming their son, Taimur
Kareena Kapoor Khan recently addressed the naming issue surrounding her son, Taimur, in an interview with The Indian Express. Social media users mocked the child’s parents, Kareena and Saif, and the baby at the time for naming him “Taimur.” When Kareena learned about it, she was sobbing in the hospital room over the way her kid was being mistreated.
Kareena recalled the incident and stated that no mother or child should have to go through that. She continued by saying she doesn’t know why they were attacked because they never intended to hurt anyone. Kareena went on to say that she liked the sound of her son’s name, which means “iron man.” Kareena revealed that Taimur was her husband Saif’s first buddy, which is how the two of them met. She proclaimed:
“When we came up with the name… Saif actually said… He grew up with a neighbour friend, and he always really liked his name and his name was Taimur, so he said, ‘You know, if I have a son, he was my first friend. I’d like to name him Taimur’, and that’s exactly how Taimur was named, because he was Saif’s first friend when he was living in town here.”
Kareena emphasized that there was no historical picture reference in the name. She stated that when it was exaggerated, she was surprised. She was reported as saying: “It has no sort of take or resemblance to anything or anyone. It just went like… it’s not even like.. it’s not even the same name. I got into a bit of a shock when this happened. But luckily, I think because of us being strong and resilient and silent, I think it just kind of died down. He was the most photographed child for what reason I have no idea.”
