Karishma Sharma Call It Quits With Vivaan Shah, ‘Always Chased Love But…’

Bollywood actress Karishma Sharma has managed to carve a niche in the acting industry despite being an outsider. Of late, the actress who gained fame with films like ‘Ragini MMS: Returns’, ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’ and ‘Ujda Chaman’ has been hitting headlines for her rumored breakup with actor Vivaan Shah. Now, in a recent interview, Karishma addressed the ongoing speculations on her love life and confirmed parting ways with the ‘Happy New Year’ actor after being in relationship for two years.

Karishma reveals reason behind breakup with Vivaan

Talking to ETimes about the same, Karishma said that both her and Vivaan want different things in life. She mentioned that Vivaan will always be like a family to her, but for now, both of them want to focus on their careers. The actress stated, “Yes, we decided to separate as we were in two different stages of our lives. Both of us want to focus more on our career. Vivaan will always be like family to me. Sometimes, things just don’t work between two individuals.”

Further in the conversation, Karishma shared that she needs a break from relationships because that is making her fall behind in career. She said that she now wants to focus on her career. The actress quoted, “I have always chased love, but it’s important for me now to be more aggressive towards my career. I am enjoying this phase of singlehood, learning more about myself and learning new skills in life.”

In a report that surfaced earlier, it was suggested that the Karishma and Vivaan had problems in their relationship right from the beginning. They were taking constant breaks in between.

For the unversed, Karishma Sharma and Vivaan Shah met at a friend’s party in July 2021 and fell head over heels in love with each other. They remained tight-lipped on their relationship for a long time. However, in 2022, Karishma spilled beans on her love affair with Vivaan. The actress had revealed that Vivaan and his family supported her when her father passed away. She had called her the-then beau the ‘biggest blessing’ in her life.
