Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan expressed his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, saying he hopes to be the “second best host” after the superstar. The statement was made during the IIFA 2025 pre-event held in Mumbai on Friday, where both actors made an appearance. Kartik is set to host the prestigious IIFA Awards ceremony, which will be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, in March.

Speaking at the event, Kartik acknowledged Shah Rukh’s unparalleled charisma as a host. “I’m just too happy to be part of the 25th anniversary of IIFA. I hope I can do second-best hosting because nobody can beat Shah Rukh sir,” Kartik remarked, gesturing toward the Bollywood icon. He added, “Whenever Shah Rukh sir has hosted or performed, it has always been like a stadium effect. He’s been wonderful. I’m just happy to be a part of this entire celebration.”

Kartik also shared his enthusiasm for hosting IIFA’s milestone celebration. “I am thrilled to celebrate the global success of Indian cinema in the vibrant heart of Jaipur. Hosting IIFA’s historic 25th anniversary is an honour, and it’s the perfect way to kick off 2025,” Kartik said, as quoted by news agency ANI. The actor hinted at a grand and unforgettable spectacle for fans worldwide, promising a celebration that highlights Indian cinema’s global influence.

The 25th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards will commence on March 8, with the grand finale scheduled for March 9. The event will honour cinematic excellence and celebrate the profound impact of Indian films on the global stage.
Kartik and Shah Rukh’s Upcoming Films
Kartik was last seen in the horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and will next appear in the romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, directed by Sameer Vidwans and produced by Dharma Productions, slated for release in 2026. He is also collaborating with Anurag Basu on an untitled project.
Shah Rukh Khan, meanwhile, is gearing up for his next film, King. Reports suggest his daughter, Suhana Khan, will also feature in the movie, marking an exciting chapter for fans of the superstar.
