Kartik Aaryan Refuses To Comment On Dostana 2, Says ‘I’am Not Part Of Any Bollywood Camps’

Bollywood actor Kartik Aryan’s exit from Karan Johar’s much-anticpated project Dostana 2 grabbed headlines. It was reported the actor and producer had a fallout due to which Kartik was shown the doors. Recently, Kartik has refused to comment on the same.

At the Agenda AajTak 2021, the actor said, “I am not a part of any Bollywood camps. I have reached here because of my talent. And I will do the same in the future. I don’t want to comment on Karan Johar’s film Dostana.”

Dostana 2 was announced in 2019. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the shooting of the film came to standstill. While the production of the project was yet to resume, the news of Kartik Aryan’s exit from the project due to unknown reasons started doing rounds. The actor was supposed to star with Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya.

Neither Kartik nor Karan reacted to the reports. However, Dharma Productions issued a statement announcing a recast of the film. “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence – we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon,” read the statement released in April.

Earlier, Kartik had talked about how the controversies surrounding his professional life bother his family, especially his mom. The actor, while in conversation with RJ Siddharth Kannan had said, “Many times when things are blown out of proportion, it affects to a point that why it is happening. But after that, I feel bad for my family because they don’t belong to this world. Since I am from this industry, I have seen that nothing matters and you just need to focus on your work. But many times families are affected. That’s the only thing I get worried of, sometimes. Other than that, it doesn’t matter.”

Dostana 2 is the second installment of Karan’s 2008 film Dostana. The film starred Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham, and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles.
