Actress Ratna Pathak has been criticized for controversial remarks about Karwa Chauth. Not too long ago, Ratna Pathak said in an interview, “Our society is very conservative. I feel it passionately. We also become superstitious. We have been led to believe that religion is an important part of life. So far no one has asked me why I don’t take Karva Chauth fasting. Last year I was asked for the first time. I said, “Am I Crazy? No wonder even an educated woman is attached to Karwa Chaut because of her husband’s long life. Twinkle Khanna

Akshay Kumar’s wife and Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna does not celebrate the Karwa Chauth festival. Twinkle Khanna is one of those women who does not believe the fasting process. A few years ago, Twinkle got into controversy over a social media post that mentioned Karwa Chauth’s starvation. The actress said, “What is the point of fasting for your first husband? Nowadays if you are getting married twice at 40? If you can’t be together for the rest of your life, why do you celebrate Karva Chauth?” Twinkle Khanna also said, “There are 100 countries that live longer than Indian men, even if they don’t fast.”

Actor Saif Ali Khan’s wife and Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor were born into a Punjabi family. However, Kareena Kapoor does not fast for Karwa Chauth. She explained that she doesn’t need to fast on Karwa Chauth to prove her love for her husband. Kareena said that she could not die of hunger. Instead of fasting at Karwa Chauth, she prefers to eat, drink and work during the day.
