Kashmir Got Its First Multiplex, Cinema Halls Opened After 3 Decades In The Valley!!

Once again theaters are going to open in the Kashmir Valley after a long period of 32 years. And because of this, after nearly three decades, the people of Shopian and Pulwama will be able to enjoy watching the film in the theater from next week. Both the multiplexes of Kashmir were inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday. But do you know that in the 90s there were 15 cinema halls in Kashmir, which were later closed?

Multiplex

There were about 15 cinema halls in the Kashmir Valley by the early 1990s. But due to increasing militancy in the Valley, cinema halls were closed. Whenever the government tried to open a theater in the Valley, a terrorist attack was launched there and it was forcibly closed. As safety is the biggest concern of these theaters. Now cinema halls have been started in Kashmir only after the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A there.

Multiplex

The Farooq government tried to open Regal, Neelam, and Broadway in the year 1999, but in September, Regal was hit by a grenade and it was closed since then. And Broadway was also closed forever after a short time. And because of this, if one had to watch a film in the theatre, then they had to go 300 km away.

The first multiplex is built in Inox Srinagar, with a capacity of 520 seats. The multiplex will have three auditoriums and the latest systems and comfortable seating facilities. Along with this, foot courts and other entertainment facilities will also be available here. In such a situation, the experience of watching the film of the people of the valley will also be good.
