The 14th season of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” has finally got its first crorepati contestant in the form of Kolhapur-based homemaker, Kavita Chawla. She has won Rs 1 crore and is all set to face the final question of Rs 7.5 crore. Kavita is excited as well as restless about this life-changing moment. She shared her feelings about it during a conversation and said that she wanted to make history. She also shared her experience of interacting with megastar Amitabh Bachchan, 21 years of waiting to reach the hot seat, and much more.
Her experience of meeting Amitabh Bachchan
Kavita Chawla said, “Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most humble human beings I have ever met. He makes contestants feel comfortable, and I spoke very candidly with him. My experience of sitting in the hot seat with the megastar as a host was “shaandaar.”
Her 21-year wait to reach the hot seat
In the year 2000, the game show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” was started, and in the same year, I also gave birth to my son. I have seen that, on the strength of knowledge, anyone can earn respect and money, and since then, it has been my dream to be on this show. “My son was a newborn, so I was unable to concentrate on my studies. But, since my goal of being on this show was so fixed, I will keep trying to register through my landline. I have tutored my son till the eighth grade, and I would also learn along with him. I would find this whole process of study very interesting. I have read more than him through his books,” said the first crorepati of this season.
On attempting the question of Rs 7.5 crore
Kavita Chawla, the first crorepati of this season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, said that there is pressure to achieve this title. She said, “there is a bit of pressure on being able to solve the Rs 7.5 crore question, but I am also happy that I am the first female contestant this season to attempt the Rs 7.5 crore question. There is a lot of excitement too, and I will try my best to clear this question and win Rs 7.5 crores. My dream is to create history by winning Rs 7.5 crore.”
