The ‘Boycott Trend’ in Bollywood is taking a toll on many actors’ careers. And the latest one to get affected by it is megastar Aamir Khan. Aamir’s recent release Laal Singh Chaddha failed miserably at the box office and this has damaged his brand value as an actor. Besides disappointing fans, Khan’s film has caused a huge loss to the producers. And now to add to his worries, the film’s producers are holding him responsible for LSC’s terrible run at the box office.
As per the reports, Viacom 18, who partnered with Aamir’s production house helped him in buying the rights to make a Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film, Forest Gump by paying a hefty amount of 180 crores. They were supposed to have a say in the promotions but when the time came, it was Aamir who was deciding everything without the consent of Viacom 18. The team of Viacom 18 is extremely pissed off with the actor. They are blaming him for the film tanking at the box office.
Furthermore, Viacom 18 was informed about Aamir’s appearance on Koffee With Karan 7 last minute. He also decided to go on Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati on his own.
Besides this, Aamir’s next, Mogul, which is based on the life of Gulshan Kumar has got shelved indefinitely. Khan, who is heartbroken right now has headed to the US on a two months break.
For the unknown, Laal Singh Chaddha stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor as the protagonists. It is helmed by Advait Chauhan, who previously directed Secret Superstar for Aamir’s production house.
