Liam Payne To Captain England Team For Charity Match- Deets Inside

Liam Payne is all set to captain the England football team for this year’s soccer aid. The former One Direction singer will play alongside Tom Grennan and Robbie William will deliver a special half-time performance for his fans with his hit Angels for 60,000.

Soccer Aid, the world’s biggest celebrity football match, is returning in June to raise funds for the United Nations Children’s Fund. Since its formation in 2006, Soccer Aid has raised more than 60 million pounds. The match between England and the Soccer Aid World XI will feature various celebrities including Damian Lewis, comedian Alex Brooker. Some of the former footballers will play Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Harry Redknapp are a few to name.

Liam Payne said, “it’s a real honour” to wear the captain’s armband for the match, also said “I can’t believe I get to run out onto the field with some of my heroes all while raising money for such a great cause.

Jamaican Sprinter Usain Bolt will be the captain of the Soccer Aid World XI FC this, year. It will be his return to London after a decade of his gold-medal wins at the Summer Olympics in 2012.

Maya Jama and Alex Scott will once again present the charity match while Demort O’Leary will host the live show. During the half-time, Robbie William will perform his 1997 hit Ballad Angels.

Robbie said, “I already know that it is going to be one of the most special nights of my career and I want as many of you possible to be a part of it”.
