“Liger” Digital Rights Have Been Sold For An All-Time High!

The non-theatrical rights of Indian film stars are reaching new heights, and the producers are reaping substantial rewards. Director Puri Jagannadh’s first collaboration with actor Vijay Deverakonda is ‘Liger.’ Mike Tyson will play a pivotal part in the film, set against the backdrop of mixed martial arts.

As the excitement grows, ‘Liger’ filming has ended, leaving just a few posters and a teaser trailer to promote the pan-India film. The team has signed a million-dollar agreement with a renowned OTT platform to add excitement.

The Agreement

The creators are said to have demanded Rs 80 crore for the movie. According to rumors, Amazon Prime has purchased the film’s OTT rights in all Indian languages for a hefty Rs 60 crore. The deal has yet to be verified.

If the reports are accepted, Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh’s most significant digital agreement.

The Movie

Devakonda will star as a Mumbai street kid who becomes an international boxing champion. The film features Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Deshpande, and Getup Srinu. Vijay Deverakonda will make his Hindi cinema debut with Liger, while Ananya will make her Tollywood debut. Initially shot in Telugu and Hindi, the film is remade and distributed in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Mike Tyson, the legendary boxer, will star in one of the key roles in ‘Liger,’ a commercial drama infused with martial arts. Fans are also looking forward to seeing Mike Tyson in the flick. Mike had piqued Vijay Deverakonda’s interest in working with him.

Vijay Deverakonda plays a boxer who competes against Mike in this sports drama. Liger also has a touching love story.

Direction

Vishnu Sarma handled the camera work, while Mani Sharma created the soundtrack and Junaid Siddiqui edited the film. Puri Connects and Dharma Productions are collaborating on the film.

The film ‘Liger,’ set to hit theatres and on-demand platforms on August 25, marks Arjun Reddy actor’s pan-India debut.
