Lindsay Lohan Rethinks Movies She Does: ‘To Do Things That My Son Can See’
Lindsay Lohan says motherhood has changed her so much that she is rethinking her career choices. Mon to a baby boy Luai, Lohan is currently very choosy about what roles and movies she accets. After all, she wants her son to watch and enjoy her films without any issues; she says, “I want to do things that my son can see.”
Fantastic Being a Mom
Lindsay’s 7-month-old boy Luai keeps her on her toes, but she claims it is fantastic. The “Mean Girls” actress seems to be enjoying motherhood to the fullest extent. Lohan also takes her baby to the sets, which has been the biggest advantage for her. Lindsay married Bader Shammas last April and welcoming Luai into their lives is one of the most beautiful things in her life.
As she shot for the Netflix movie “Irish Wish,” Luai accompanied her to the shoot. Besides, Lindsay Lohan travelled with the tiny tot to Ireland! “I’m still fortunate he’s young, so I can bring him everywhere,” she said in an interview. “He is everywhere with me because I don’t want to leave him,” she says, adding that this arrangement could change as he grows up.
Impact of Motherhood
The “Parent Trap” child star agrees that “everything is changing so fast,” but there is also a learning curve. “I’m having a different go at it. Figuring out what I want to do and how I want to do it.” The 37-year-old understands that being a mom means making some compromises.
Hence, she is reconsidering some of the scripts offered to her. “I want to do things that my son can see, but I also want to do things that inspire me.” Lindsay Lohan keeps updating her social media profile with her late pregnancy and postpartum journey to her fans. She is grateful for her body and strives to keep it healthy.
“I am so proud of what this body was able to accomplish during these months of pregnancy and now, recovery,” she said in a caption on an Instagram post. These days, she is wearing comfy pyjamas and postpartum underwear because “Having a baby is the greatest joy in the world!”
Lindsay Lohan in Reboots and Sequels
Recently, Lindsay appeared in a cameo in the 2024 “Mean Girls” reboot. This musical is written and directed by Tina Fey who created the 2004 original. However, Lindsay is a little miffed with the makers for using the term “fire crotch,” which was her nickname during her drug addiction and partying past.
However, with the revamped musical, she managed to earn almost $500,000 for a half day’s work, per sources. Lindsay Lohan is also amped up as the “Freaky Friday” sequel is going on the sets soon. The 2003 body-switching mother-daughter comedy also features Jamie Lee Curtis, who will return for this instalment. “Irish Wish” streams on Netflix from March 15.
