Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha recently became a part of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ with his wife Poonam, daughter Sonakshi Sinha and son-in-law Zaheer Iqbal. During the comedy show, the actor made many revelations about his personal life that were yet not known to people and even his fans. He also made a revelation about his mother-in-law and his in-laws, which surprised everyone. Apart from him, Poonam Sinha along with daughter Sonakshi also made several revelations about the actor.

During the show, Archana Puran Singh had asked Poonam Sinha who proposed first, she or Shatrughan since the couple had a love marriage which was quite difficult in those days, to which Shatrughan replied, ‘She made me propose her.’ Hearing this, Poonam Sinha told the rest of their love story to everyone and revealed that initially, her mother had rejected her and Shatrughan Sinha’s relationship.

While talking about the struggles she faced at home for getting married to the actor, Poonam said, ‘His elder brother came home to meet and talk to my mother. But mother refused and said that absolutely not, we do not want any boy from the film industry for our daughter.’ After this, Shatrughan Sinha made another interesting revelation about his mother-in-law i.e. wife Poonam Sinha’s mother, and said, ‘She said to my brother – have you seen your brother? He is from Bihar, a street goon and our daughter is pure as a milkmaid. Fair and Miss India.’

Shatrughan Sinha further added, ‘If you make both of us stand together and take a color photo, it will look black and white.’ Let us tell you that Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha got married on 9 July 1980. Before marriage, both of them dated each other for some time and it is said that the couple first met in a train while they were going from Patna to Mumbai.
