Actor Varun Dhawan has spoken out against online trolling targeting fellow actor Arjun Kapoor, urging social media users to draw a line between humour and personal attacks.
The remarks come amid continued trolling directed at Arjun Kapoor on social media. Responding to the criticism, Varun Dhawan said that while jokes and light-hearted banter are part of public life, personal remarks should be avoided.
Varun, who has also faced trolling in the past, said he understands how social media functions and how public figures are often subjected to scrutiny. However, he stressed that criticism should not cross into personal territory. According to him, there is a clear distinction between making fun of someone’s work and targeting them on a personal level.
