Flour has long been an essential part of the global culinary world. In addition to Indian, many different cuisines, such as Italian, Mexican and even American cuisine, rely heavily on different types of flour. Flour is a mixture of finely ground, various grains, nuts, beans, legumes and seeds, which is used to prepare different foods. The most typical of all flour is wheat flour which is found in many nutrient-rich forms such as whole wheat flour, gluten flour and the most commonly used refined flour or all-purpose flour also known as maida.

Top the pizza base with tomato ketchup, grated mozzarella cheese with fresh basil and garnish with chopped tomatoes. Bake in a preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes and glaze with olive oil and basil. Momos
Of course, it had to be on the snacks list! South Asia’s favourite street food, momos are flavorful maida fritters, loaded with a variety of ground meats or vegetables, and then steamed, fried or grilled. An important part of Nepali and Tibetan cuisine, momos are now a popular street food in Delhi and among Indian states.
Chop the onion, garlic, ginger, mushroom, tofu, cabbage and cilantro. Pour soy sauce into the bowl and toss to mix the vegetables well. After this, in a bowl add all-purpose flour and water. Mix together to make a smooth dough. Cover the dough and keep it aside. Roll out into a thin sheet of dough, but not too thin. Cut small balls out of it. Prepare vegetable filling in the centre of these balls. Start making small folds and seal them together with the help of a little water. Make sure momos are properly sealed. Finally, boil water in a steamer. When the water starts boiling, put the momos in the steamer. Leave them undisturbed for 15-20 minutes. Remove it and serve with chutney.
Samosa
All-time favourite tea time classic at home! Roll out fresh dough, fill with spicy spices of your choice and deep fry! Take a dough plate and add refined flour to it. Knead the dough after adding a little salt and water, kneading it well. Once done, set the dough aside to rest for 30 minutes. Now put a pan on medium heat and heat some oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add boiled and mashed potatoes along with all the spices. Mix well and Fry while stirring for 2-3 minutes.
Knead a little dough and roll out thin roti. Cut it in half and fold it into a cone shape. Put potato masala in this cone and close it with the help of a little water. Keep the samosas dry for 30 minutes. Once dry, put the kadhai on medium flame and when the oil becomes hot enough, deep fry the samosas till they turn golden brown and fry well.
Kulcha
If you are in India you will definitely know what kulcha is. Kulchas can be made easily with maida flour and using this flour helps you to make crunchy yet soft kulchas. All you need is plain flour, curd, sugar, baking powder, oil and water to make a soft dough for kulcha.
Once you leave it to rest for two hours, you can flatten the bread with a rolling pin and cook it slowly on the pan. You will have a fully cooked batch of kulcha which will be crispy as well as soft.
