Singer Diljit Dosanjh has recently dropped his new track “Tension Mitra Nu Hai Ni,” but it hasn’t been received warmly by all of his fans. A section of the online community has expressed disappointment, claiming that the song’s content and style cater to younger audiences. The criticism surfaced after an Instagram user named Brown Munde TV shared the video, adding the text, “Bro, make songs for 12-year-old kids” alongside the post. The caption, which also drew attention, read, “Why is he jumping like this? Come on, bro, you’re 41.”

The reaction on social media was swift. Many users mocked the lyrics and style of the song, with one commenter saying, “What average lyrics are these.” Another voice in the comment section shared, “Spare me. Your silly jokes are better than this song.” A more biting comment suggested, “ChatGPT make more sensible songs,” further questioning Diljit’s creative direction.

However, amid the criticism, a significant number of fans rallied in support of the artist. One supporter emphasized the fun aspect of the music, stating, “The music is great and fun. Why this criticism?” Another fan praised Diljit’s connection to Punjab’s culture, commenting, “Man loves his culture from every atom of his body. He makes me proud when he represents Punjabi people.” Some users also defended Diljit against accusations of jealousy, saying, “It’s true that with success comes lots of jealousy from mediocre people!”

The release of “Tension Mitra Nu Hai Ni” comes just a month after Diljit wrapped up his highly successful Dil-Luminati India Tour, which concluded with a concert in Ludhiana on December 31. The tour included stops in major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Guwahati, with Ludhiana being added as a last-minute stop.

Looking ahead, fans can expect more from Diljit in the realm of cinema. He is set to star in Border 2, a sequel to the iconic 1997 film Border. The movie, which will feature actors like Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Sunny Deol, is slated for a worldwide release on January 23, 2026. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is expected to be a major cinematic event, continuing the legacy of its predecessor, which depicted the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
