Bollywood is rightly touted as one of the most promising industries but once you enter this world, your life completely changes. Nothing remains personal and everything becomes a matter of public discussion. Whether you are having a having a fight with someone or are going on a date, nothing remains hidden in Bollywood. And the most public affair nowadays is that of Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor.
The two managed to keep their relationship a secret until last October when they were snapped together at the Milan airport hand in hand. The couple has been in scrutiny as Arjun is nine years younger than Malaika Arora, who even has a son with her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan. While the couple has been quite secretive about their relationship, rumors of their marriage plans, and some even stating that they’re already married, have been doing rounds.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Malaika Arora opened up about her son’s reaction to her relationship with Arjun Kapoor and what does she think about the age difference between them.
However, Malaika did open up about her 16 Years old son Arhaan’s reaction on her relationship with Arjun Kapoor. She said, “I believe the best way to approach any situation is with honesty. It’s important to tell your near and dear ones what’s happening in your life and then give them time and space to understand and process things. We have had that conversation and I am so glad that everyone is in a much happier and more honest space today.”
She even talked about her feelings of finding love after a broken marriage and said, “It feels amazing! When my marriage ended, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be in another relationship and was scared of being heartbroken. But I also wanted to be in love, nurture a relationship, and this new me gave me the confidence to put myself out there and take a chance. I am so glad I did!”
Malaika, who is nine years older than the Panipat actor, said that the age difference between them doesn’t matter. She said, “The age difference doesn’t really pop up when you are in a relationship. It is about two minds and hearts connecting. Unfortunately, we live in a society that refuses to progress with time. An older man romancing a younger girl is hailed everywhere, but when the woman is older, she’s called desperate’ and a buddhi’. For people who think like this, I have just one line: Take a flying f***. “
