In Hindi cinema, due to the continuous changes in audience and stories, the system of hero or superstar is getting blurred. With the advent of digital platforms, all kinds of artists are now getting an opportunity to carry the project on their shoulders by playing the lead role.

In such a situation, on the concept of actor and hero, three National Film Award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee says, “Hero means the same person who kills the villain, daag de four-five dialogues, dance with the heroine”. Take it, as well as express yourself by moving your lips to someone else’s song. Our lead actors were earlier called heroes, because in those days filmmakers were following a certain formula. Apart from this, other actors used to be character actors, but later when many actors objected to this, they started being called actors.

Manoj Bajpayee further said, “Now things have changed, now very few actors are left, who are seen playing the role of hero only. Even many superstars are chasing such formulaic stories for the past several years. They understand It has been said that now both the subject and audience of cinema are changing. If we talk about digital platform, then that kind of heroism does not work here. This platform has completely rejected the hero system. So now we have only actors left here. Huh.”

Talking about Manoj Bajpayee’s workfront, he will be seen in the upcoming films Dispatch and Possession. Apart from this, the third season of his hit series Family Man is also coming soon.
