While masks have become the new face accessories we still need to embrace its side effects. From lipstick stains or smudged blush we know that face masks are to be blamed. The real question is how do we get our foundation to stay put through the day.

Beauty experts advise using transfer proof makeup but even that does not do the trick all by itself. Here is a quick guide on getting that lipstick, foundation and blush to stay put.

Starting with the obvious, a primer. Yes, without a primer foundation is fifty percent more likely to go rogue. Choosing the right primer can not only help with minimizing pore but also create a flawless base to begin with. For mask proof primers try to find one that has 24 hour protection.

Coming in second is the transfer proof foundation. You can also try waterproof foundations as well. Ensure that the foundation is blended well into the skin and left to set for 5 -7 minutes. Applying product after product only leads to a mushy base that is easily smudgeable.

Once you have the base, it’s time to powder it down . Some beauty experts opt for a baking method, but even basic setting powders to the trick alright. Powder set, now comes the setting spray. The important part of this is checking the contents of your setting spray. Always choose one with alcohol content for a long lasting look.

The final and most important step is to reblend the powder and setting spray. This seals the overall look for a flawless finish. If you are using a sponge applicator remember to spray it down with some setting spray. Gentle reapply setting powder in light strokes while using the prepped sponge to set everything in place.

Allow the makeup to breathe for a few minutes and then wear your mask. Do not put on your mask while the makeup is still dewy. It will result in failure.

This is your smudge free mask proof makeup technique that is sure to leave you looking flawless all day long.
