MasterChef gets a colloquial narrative as it vrooms to a start in Tamil: Vijay Sethupathi to host?

It goes without saying that MasterChef is popular and has grown out to be yet another entertainer in their bag. For starters, it is a competitive cooking show in television format where ones who love cooking come to combat with fire and cutlery with the likes of moghuls like Gordon Ramsay, Aaron Sanchéz, Joe Bastianich, and a lot more. It was first started in the year 1990 in the UK by Frank Roddam, and continued to ride high which resulted in the show getting its very editions throughout the world.
MasterChef India sprinted with full vim and was led by taste trend setters Vikhas Khanna, Vineet Bhatia, Kunal Kapur, Sanjeev Kapoor and Ranveer Brar for six whole seasons since its start at 2010. However, it is interesting to note that the show has never singled for a particular language, or state. So, it is with great pride we put this forth that one of the oldest languages of the country, Tamil, has got an edition of MasterChef of its own, and is set to rock the TV screens, with the rights to organise being purchased by Sun TV.
Well, a little bird had gotten running that it is Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi who has been picked on to host this grandeur of a show. Recently, Sun TV released a promo featuring the actor letting his tongue dance over relishing food stuff, and washing utensils. Excitement peaking, we got our pens running to draw rights with the actor himself.
‘I will be hosting the Tamil version of MasterChef, first of its kind.’, the actor adds with a smile. Some cats out of the bag suggested that he was supposed to have charged a huge remuneration for that purpose, while some went on to state that they had seen the channel themselves furbelowing Vijay with extreme opulence for the purpose. However, when asked about the same, he shrugs it off in his classic style.
“I never accept any offer for the money. It’s the connect with the people that pushes to be a part of the film, or any show for that regard.”
Upon asking him whether his interest to host the show might have arisen due to his likes for cooking, he gives out a breathy laugh, and states, ‘I am more into eating than cooking. But Food is always interesting for me.’
It is to be noted that Vijay Sethupathi had also been hosting ‘Namma ooru hero’ (Heroes of our towns, districts, or states) that focused on bringing many of the unsung heroes to connect with the viewers. The love the audience have for the actor have excited them in great limits and they feel refreshed to see him a new avatar.
If reports are to be believed, then adaptations in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada versions might be announced, and respectively hosted by Venkatesh Daggubati, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kichha Sudeep.
In the Silver Screen, the actor was last seen as an antagonist in Master, and has wonderful films of his own in his bag.
