Lindsay Lohan took a break from acting in recent years and said it was ‘refreshingly exciting’ to return to the big screen with the festive Rom-com Falling for Christmas.
Her first major movie role in nearly a decade, ‘Falling for Christmas’ marks the Mean Girls star’s return to the movie industry after essentially leaving it in 2014.
Lindsay Lohan began her career as a child artist and went on to star in some of the most memorable films of all time. She also made a career as a vocalist in the music industry, in addition to acting in several TV shows. Her best films include The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Labour Pains, The Canyons, and others.
“It’s a fantastic film. I wanted to direct this film but since I missed being on set and going to bring characters to life, this was the perfect script full of a perfect blend of love, family, romance, and joy. I wanted to get to the point where I yearned to be on set.”

The ‘Just My Luck’ actor went on to say that ‘Falling for Christmas,’ in which she portrays a privileged hotel heiress who loses her memories in a skiing accident, had a wonderful message that she enjoyed bringing to the screen.
“And it has a fantastic message, which is that you don’t need all of the material things in life, she said on Good Morning America. It’s refreshing to focus on the little things, and I appreciate it.”

Since I hadn’t recorded in a long time, I was anxious to perform it so that people who had seen ‘Mean Girls’ would enjoy it like that, she said.
Lindsay recorded a version of ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ for the film’s soundtrack and admitted she might have been nervous about performing the song because she hoped ‘Mean Girls’ and fans would enjoy it.
“We danced behind Mean Girls, and we had all the girls with us. This was just my voice. It was therefore nerve-racking. But the result was spectacular I’m quite pleased.”
