A trip down memory lane

Taking a trip down memory lane, Mithun said, “I fell in love and had gone completely mad. But one day, she left me. Then times changed; I became a star, then a superstar, and then an even bigger superstar.”

He continued, “I was travelling in an aeroplane, and that girl was also in the same plane. She did not look at me. So I got up and went up to her and asked why she was not looking at me. She turned her face. I thought she was feeling guilty. To ease her, I told her ‘what you did at that time was right’.”

According to Mithun, the girl became at ease after hearing his remarks. He gave her an explanation of why it was a good decision on her part to leave someone who was having difficulties. However, Mithun claimed that the girl began crying as soon as she heard his words. (Read More: Mithun Chakraborty On His Struggles In Bollywood Industry: ‘Salman Is Bit Too Much’)

A recipient of three National Film Awards, Mithun’s last Bollywood appearance was in the controversial film The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri. Since 2022, he has primarily been involved in Bengali films, with his latest role being in director Suman Ghosh’s Kabuliwala (2023).
