Shraddha Arya, the popular actress known for her role as Preeta in Ekta Kapoor’s hit show Kundali Bhagya, has announced her departure from the show after an impressive seven and a half years. The actress, who gained immense fame for portraying the lead character in the long-running series, shared the news with her fans on social media, reflecting on the unforgettable journey she experienced on the set.
In her emotional post, Shraddha shared a video montage featuring pictures with her co-stars, including Dheeraj Dhoopar, Anjum Fakih, and others, and expressed her heartfelt gratitude for being part of the successful show. She described her time on Kundali Bhagya as a life-changing experience, filled with cherished memories.

“I wrote and deleted this caption at least 25 times because no words could truly describe what I carry in my heart at this moment,” Shraddha shared, emphasizing the deep emotional connection she has with the show. “This show saw me grow… from a silly, goofy young girl to a married, responsible (now) mother-to-be,” she added.
Reflecting on her transformation over the years, Shraddha described her time on the show as a “real-life fairy tale,” filled with fame, glamour, travel, and, of course, plenty of drama. “7 AND A HALF YEARS of being PREETA were nothing short of a real-life fairy tale with fancy clothes, fame, popularity, wonderful work team & co-actors, travel, glamour, challenging scenes, dance, drama, and everything that an artist’s perfect life is built of,” she wrote in her emotional farewell message.
Shraddha also took a moment to thank Ekta Kapoor for the opportunity to be part of the show, as well as her co-stars and the entire team of Kundali Bhagya. “KB, you’ll always be my baby!” she concluded, leaving fans and co-stars alike teary-eyed.
The news of Shraddha’s exit saddened many fans, who flooded her post with messages of support and love. Her co-stars, including Paras Kalnawat, Supriya Shukla, Ruhi Chaturvedi, and Sanjay Gagnani, also expressed their heartfelt sorrow over her departure.
Since its premiere on July 12, 2017, Kundali Bhagya has been a major success, with Shraddha’s portrayal of Preeta being one of its key highlights. While Dheeraj Dhoopar originally played Karan opposite Shraddha, Shakti Arora took over the role in 2023.
