Money Laundering: Not Only Jacqueline, Sukesh Gave Expensive Gifts To Her Family, Disclosed In ED’s Chargesheet

In the charge sheet filed against accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar in a money laundering case of Rs 200 crore, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) said that Sukesh introduced himself as “Shekhar Ratna Vela” to actress Jacqueline Fernandez.

Sukesh had first tried to contact the actress in December 2020 and then in January 2021. But the actress did not respond to his call as she did not know him. According to the investigating agency, Sukesh later contacted Jacqueline through her makeup artist Shaan Muttathil.

According to information, the make-up artist allegedly received a call from a person claiming to be a government official, who said that the actress should get in touch with Shekhar Ratna Vela, who is an ‘important person’. In her statement to the agency in the matter, Jacqueline Fernandez said that Sukesh Chandrasekhar also gave her two pairs of diamond earrings, two Herms bracelets, three Birkin bags, and one pair of Louis Vuitton shoes.

Apart from this, the main accused in the extortion case of Rs 200 crore, Sukesh had also gifted the actress two Gucci outfits and a multicolored bracelet for her to wear in the gym. Also in his statement recorded under Section 50 of the PMLA Act, Sukesh Chandrashekhar had said that he gave 15 pairs of earrings, five Birkin bags, and other luxury items of Chanel, Gucci to the actress.

Sukesh also claimed that he gifted Jacqueline Fernandez Cartier bracelets and rings, a Tiffany & Co bracelet besides Rolex watches. Along with this, the accused also admitted that he had presented Jacqueline Fernandez with jewelry worth Rs 7 crore and a horse named ‘Espuela’.

In addition, Sukesh Chandrashekhar also gave a loan of USD 150,000 to the sister of Jacqueline Fernandez, who lives in the US. Along with this, he also gifted a BMW X5 car to the sister of the actress.

Sukesh also gifted a Maserati (car) to Jacqueline Fernandez’s parents and a Porsche(car) to her mother in Bahrain. Not only this, but he also gave a loan of USD 50,000 to Jacqueline’s brother in Australia he claimed.
