To wish Prime Minister Narendra Modi a happy birthday, Kangana Ranaut, who has been hard at work shooting her upcoming movie Emergency, posted a message on Instagram on Saturday. On September 17, he turned 72. Along with a lengthy birthday message, the actor posted an old photo of the pair on an occasion. As she wished PM Modi, Kangana Ranaut referred to him as the “most powerful man on our earth.” He was “immortal,” she continued
“Happy birthday, honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi,” she posted beside a picture of herself and the PM on Instagram Stories. What a remarkable journey—from being a young boy serving tea on train stations to becoming the most powerful person on the globe… We pray for long, long life, but you are immortal like Gandhi, Rama, and Krishna. Now permanently ingrained in the minds of this country and others. You’ll always be in love. Your legacy cannot be destroyed, which is why I refer to you as an avatar. Having you as our leader is a great blessing.
The image Kangana posted was taken in 2018 when she and lyricist Prasoon Joshi got the opportunity to meet PM Modi at a gathering in Delhi. I am a big Modi admirer because of his roaring success, the actor had added at the occasion while wearing a floral saree. As a young woman, I do think it’s important to have positive role models. Whenever we have a prime minister who is a chaiwala (tea vendor), I always remark that it is not his win but rather the victory of our democracy. By this, I mean the graph and the aspiration of an average man. He strikes me as the ideal role model.
Kangana will portray the late Indira Gandhi in her next film Emergency, which also stars Anupam Kher as J P Narayan, Mahima ChaudhryKangana wrote and directed the movie Emergency. The producers of the film are Kangana and Renu Pitti. In addition to writing the dialogue, Ritesh Shah also wrote the screenplay.
