The highly anticipated second season of the smash hit Netflix series Lust Stories is almost here. The popular OTT platform will reportedly debut the star-studded series in the first quarter of 2023.

The highly anticipated anthology series will include four short films directed by R Balki, Sujoy Ghosh, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Amit Ravindernath Sharma. Mrunal Thakur and Angad Bedi will play critical roles in the R Balki-directed short film.

The Comedy Short

Latest reports from India Today suggest that Angad Bedi and Mrunal Thakur’s part in the comedy film Lust Stories 2, directed by R Balki, is a good time. The rumoured plot of the episode, which stars seasoned actress Neena Gupta, centers on the passion of desire and combines comedy, drama, and romance.

“The short film that Mrunal and Angad made combines dramatic and romantic aspects with a slice-of-life feel. The film focuses on the feeling of desire rather than its sexual connotation as its central topic. With his unusual narrative style, it would be intriguing to watch how Balki interprets desire,” a Netflix insider said of the anthology series.

Kajol plays the leading role in this segment, directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma. Both established actresses, Amrita Subhash and Tilotama Shome, will play pivotal parts in Konkona Sen Sharma’s episode. Vijay Verma and Tamannaah Bhatia star as the main characters in the segment written by Sujoy Ghosh. The first Lust Stories 2 trailer will debut in the coming weeks.

Each of the four episodes of the first season of Lust Stories was directed by a different director, including Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, and Dibakar Banerjee. Radhika Apte, Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, Neha Dhupia, Bhumi Pednekar, Neil Bhoopalam, Manisha Koilara, Jaideep Ahlawat, Sanjay Kapoor, and more A-list actors starred in the first installment along with the other cast members.
