Mrunal Thakur Opens Up About Intimacy Issues and Career Choices: 'I would just get scared'

Mrunal Thakur recently shared how she doesn’t feel safe doing intimate scenes as an actor. The star told iDiva in a new interview that she missed out on a lot of movies because her parents didn’t like them and she didn’t feel good about them either.

In the interview, Mrunal said, “I wasn’t comfortable doing scenes that were close, like romantic ones.” I would get scared and say no to a movie, but for how long? At one point, I had to tell my parents, “Papa, I can’t miss a part because sometimes it’s there; it’s not my choice.”

She went on, “I wanted to do a movie, but I had to drop because there was a kissing scene in it.”

She further shared that when she first told her dad that she had an offer for a show, he didn’t agree. Mrunal also said that she had to balance work and school, and when her attendance changed, her dad told her to give the show her full attention.

Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal were last seen together in the movie Family Star. Abhinaya, Vasuki, Rohini Hattangadi, and Ravi Babu are among the actors in the movie.

Divyansha Kaushik also makes a special appearance. When it came out, people didn’t care for it. Pooja Meri Jaan and a movie by Sanjay Leela Bhansali are both in her plans.
