Mrunal Thakur is one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood today. She had a successful 2023 with multiple releases, such as Pippa, Aankh Micholi, Gumrah and Hi Nanna. She is also looking forward to a promising 2024 with films like Pooja Mera Jaan with Huma Qureshi and Family Star with Vijay Deverakonda.

Mrunal Thakur’s Dancing Talent is Underutilized

However, Mrunal feels that her dancing talent is not being explored in her movies. She told ETimes that she loves dancing and wants to showcase her skills in films. She said, “All my co-actors love dancing. But I’m really sad that I didn’t get an opportunity to dance with Hrithik when we worked in 2017-18. I even complained to Shahid as well that ‘Jersey’ is such a serious film, I need to do a chill film with him where I can dance with him and Ishaan too.”

She added, “In films I don’t get an opportunity to dance, so I make most of my co-stars dance for social media videos. I feel it is high time that filmmakers give me a chance to dance.”

Mrunal Thakur Dances with Vijay Deverakonda in Family Star

Mrunal Thakur also revealed that she has danced a lot with Vijay Deverakonda in their upcoming film Family Star. She said, “Vijay is a fantastic dancer and we had a blast shooting for the songs. He is very energetic and spontaneous. I think our chemistry will be amazing on screen.”

Family Star is a romantic comedy directed by Puri Jagannadh. It is expected to be released in mid-2024. Mrunal Thakur plays a journalist who falls in love with a superstar played by Vijay Deverakonda.

Mrunal Thakur is also excited about her other projects, such as Pooja Mera Jaan, a horror comedy with Huma Qureshi, and Hi Nanna, a Telugu remake of The Intern with Nagarjuna. She said, “I am grateful for the opportunities that I have got and I want to do different kinds of roles. I want to challenge myself and entertain the audience.”
