Though I’m unsure when another Munna Bhai is desired.”

In retrospect, Khan reflected on their friendship, saying,

“We’re extremely old pals. When he became a filmmaker, he was an editor and scripted a film called Munna Bhai MBBS. I still recall shooting a sequence for Devdas where I was about to die. And then this person appeared and said, ‘I have a screenplay.'”

Munna Bhai MBBS Celebrates 20 Years
