Sharing her experience along with photos, she wrote, “The fountain sequence proved to be the most physically challenging. I had to stay submerged in water for more than 12 hours, which was testing my flexibility. Initially, Sanjay thought the water would be warm and clean.

She said, “However, within a few hours, the water turned dirty because my team, including the cinematographer and art director, were in the water to work on the scene. My body was soaked in that dirty water too.”

Manisha Koirala further writes that she was extremely tired towards the end of shooting the fountain scene. She mentioned, “Although I was exhausted by the end of the shoot, I still felt genuine happiness in my heart. My body endured stress and remained resilient. I knew that I had passed a critical physical test.”

For the fountain scene in which Manisha Koirala had to sit in dirty water for 12 hours and for the mehendi scene where she had to sit in one place for 7 hours, she put in her complete effort to portray Mallika Jaan’s role in “Heeramandi” convincingly.
