‘Nachaniya Banbe?’ Ravi Kishan Opened Up His Struggles And His Father’s Reaction To His Decision of Becoming An Actor

Famous Bhojpuri actor and politician Ravi Kishan often reveals the secrets of his life and tells interesting things to his fans. At a recent event, he spoke openly about his acting journey and role in ‘Lapataa Ladies’, the film that has been selected for an Oscar nomination from India. Describing his initial acting beginnings, he said, ‘I am the son of a priest. I had nothing, just spirituality, and honesty which my father taught me.’ It was quite difficult for me to make a career in the entertainment industry.

During a recent TV program, Ravi Kishan openly talked about his journey and said, ‘I used to do theater. I used to play the role of Sitaji in Ramlila in my childhood. I have also been beaten by my father. He used to say ‘Nachaniya banbe’ because being a Brahmin in the 80s and 90s, he could not understand.’ Ravi Kishan further told that his career is the result of 34 years of struggle, his continuous efforts, and his dedication to his dream.

Let us tell you that the actor has worked in Telugu films, Hindi films, and television while trying to make his mark in the industry. He further said, ‘I had to struggle and this is the result of 34 years of struggle.’ Expressing his struggles to his fans, Ravi Kishan said, ‘I have worked in the Telugu industry, I have done Hindi films and you must have seen me on television as well. I have been struggling to make my mark. I always wanted to bring a mix of natural and swag in my acting. But, I was not getting a chance. Then I met Kiran Rao.’

While talking about his struggles and the hard times he suffered in his life, he said, ‘I have struggled a lot, I have moved forward crawling. There is a lot of struggle behind the Ravi Kishan you see now. I have walked across Mumbai, and lived in a 10X12 house where the bathroom used to be outside. I did not know anyone in Mumbai. There was no godfather, no one helped me but I knew that there would be a new dawn in my life.’
