Television actor Nakuul Mehta is one of the most terrific artistes of the tinseltown. He has earned an ardent fan base with shows like ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai’, ‘Ishqbaaz’ and ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’.
Talking about his personal life, the actor is married to singer and VoiceOver artist, Jankee Parekh. The two have a baby boy named Sufu together. During his appearance on the show ‘Be a Man Yaar’, Nakuul opened up some untouched chapters of his life. He revealed how he and his better-half defied gender roles when they began seeing each other.

Recalling their early dating days, Nakuul said that they never shared the traditional man-woman kind of relationship. In 4 years of their courtship, Jankee was paying more income tax than what the actor was earning. Nakuul mentioned that his wife comes from a very well-to-do family while he is from a service class background. When they got married, he didn’t have a job and had a saving under Rs 1 lakh. But Jankee trusted him in that phase.
In the same interaction, the actor recollected how gender roles never came in between their love affair. He told that his darling wife used to drop him home after their dates. Nakuul quoted, “Whoever had the money on the particular date used to pay. She’s never made me feel less of a man because I’m not successful, and there have been many parts of my life when I haven’t been.”
For the unversed, Nakuul Mehta fell in love with Jankee Parekh when he saw her at Shiamak Davar Dance Summer Camp at the age of 18. The two dated for a long time before tying the knot on January 28, 2012. The couple welcomed their first child in 2021.
On the work front front, Nakuul appeared last in the show ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3’ with Disha Parmar.
