Sanchari Vijay, a national award-winning actor, was gravely injured in a road accident while riding his bike across the city with his friends. He has suffered serious injuries, and his condition is currently described as critical. Sanchari Vijay, who is now receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit at an Apollo hospital in Bannerghatta in Bengaluru, has not yet regained consciousness.
During the collision, he was alleged to have suffered significant injuries to the brain’s right side and thigh. The actor was riding pillion with a companion on a two-wheeler when the brakes on his bike failed near JP Nagar’s 7th stage, causing the accident. His friend Naveen who is also injured is admitted to the hospital.
Dr. Anil Kumar, the hospital’s top neurosurgeon, said Vijay was brought to the hospital with major brain injuries and was in critical condition when he arrived, following which he underwent scans and surgery. The actor had surgery in the middle of the night and has not yet regained consciousness. Doctors have kept him under monitoring, and the next 48 hours are considered vital.
Vijay is a dynamic theatre performer from the Sanchari Theatre, a culture center and distinctive theatre that is well known for its elegant playgroup. He was born in the Chikmagalur area of Karnataka. Vijay got the National Film Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his role in the film Naanu Avanalla Avalu in 2015.
