Navya Naveli Nanda Do Not Wish To Work In Industry, Want To Create A New Identity For Herself

Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Big B aka Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, has a business mindset and wants to create a different and new identity for herself in business. Recently, she spoke in an interview with one of the media houses that she does not want to become an actor by choice, while her entire family, apart from her brother Agastya Nanda, is very active in the entertainment industry.

While talking about her career choices and her dedication to business, Navya said at the India Today Mumbai Conclave 2024 that everyone has to play a strong role in living up to the expectations of their legacy. When it comes to her, she believes that she is more interested in social impact and business and this is where she sees her future. Navya said, “Whatever background I come from, I always wanted to do this. I am grateful for all the opportunities I am getting today.”

Navya further said focusing on her business mind, “This may not be true for many people in India, but I never wanted to act”. Let us tell you that Nanda recently faced criticism regarding her IIM admission, where people questioned her achievements and qualifications and trolled her considering her admission to the prestigious institute is because of her grandfather’s connection and not because of her capabilities.

Further in the interview, Navya also talked about protecting herself from social media trolling and said that she does not care about it at all. Navya says that social media has given voice to many people and it is a great place to bring your work to the fore. While calling herself lucky to be a part of IIM, Navya said, “I have chosen the active option of putting my work and myself out there. I do not feel bad about anything people say. My truth is different from many women in the country. I do not pay much attention to what negative things people say about me.”
