During a media interview, actress Nayanthara recently recounted her story and revealed the harsh reality about the casting couch.

Nayanthara is a well-known south actress in the Indian film industry, although she has had her fair share of difficulties in her career.

According to reports, Nayanthara stated she was brave enough to say no and ‘boldly’ reject the offer. She also stated that she is confident in her acting ability. In a recent interview, a top South actress discussed the prevalence of casting couches in the showbiz business.

Nayanthara, a well-known South Indian actress, has an extensive filmography. She has been in a number of blockbusters and is currently preparing to make her Bollywood debut in Shah Rukh Khan’s next big movie, ‘Jawan,’ directed by Atlee.

However, she recently drew headlines for allegedly disclosing the terrible reality about the casting couch during a recent media discussion.

According to a Times of India story, Nayanthara detailed her casting couch ordeal and said that she was once given a crucial role in a film in exchange for favours. She stated that she was bold enough to decline the offer. Nayanthara is said to be confident in her acting ability. The actress was apparently approached for ‘favours’ in exchange for a movie job.

This isn’t the first time an actor has opened up about his or her casting couch experience. Ankit Gupta of Bigg Boss 16 and others have described how they were urged to compromise in exchange for a film project.

Following the overwhelming response to its Tamil teaser, Nayanthara’s horror-thriller ‘Connect’ has been making news ever since the makers announced its Hindi release.

Ashwin Saravanan directed the film, which also stars Sathyaraj, Anupam Kher, and Vinay Rai. It was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam on and  Hindi.

Nayanthara has a large fan following in Tamil, and her collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan has been much anticipated. The cast also includes Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover.

Nayanthara married her longtime love Vignesh Shivan at Mahabalipuram in June 2022. ‘Nayanthara – Beyond The Fairytale,’ a documentary on actress Nayanthara’s wedding, is now available on Netflix.

On Professional Front: Nayanthara fans are excited to watch her opposite SRK in Atlee’s Jawan. Among those who appear in the film are Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover.
