Neena Gupta Discloses Why She Advised A Friend To Not Handover Their Property To Kids Before Death!

Veteran actress Neena Gupta is the perfect example of famous saying ‘Age is just a number’. She has redefined her career at an age when people think of retirement. Besides starring in some of the most popular roles on the big screen in recent times, Gupta is known for speaking her heart out and not mincing words. Many a time in the past, she has divulged details of her personal life too.

Recently, Neena got into an exclusive chat with a leading daily and opened up on receiving some rave reviews on her latest release Vadh alongside Sanjay Mishra. She also spoke about how why box office numbers of a film are crucial not for actors but producers.

Talking about the response to the film, the 60-year-old actress stated that the reception is amazing but her only concern is people should go to theatres. She elaborated on the same and quoted, “Actors will benefit when the audience will watch the film and producers will be able to make money. This is how we will be able to get similar films and roles. Sirf critical reviews se to paise nahin ayenge na (critical reviews don’t fetch money). But, good reviews help to uplift a film and bring people to the theatre.”

Furthermore, Neena narrated a story of her friend who was maltreated by her children. She recalled a friendly advice that she gave to her with regards to making a will for their kids but she didn’t listen and suffered later. “I had told them hundred times ‘marne se pehle makaan nahi naam karna bacho ke naam pe. But, they did it anyway. They were thrown out of the house during their ailment. People get emotional. This happens a lot because you can do anything for your kid. But, not necessarily they will be doing the same thing to you.”

For the unknown, Vadh revolves around an elderly middle-class couple who suffers a financial crunch after taking a hefty loan to send their son abroad. It turns from a family drama to murder mystery.

Workwise, Neena Gupta has Vijay Maurya’s Sabun alongside Jackie in the post-production stage. Apart from this, a film titled Baa is ready. She has completed shooting for R. Balki’s short film Lust Stories 2 and will soon start Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino.
