Karan Johar, one of the most celebrated filmmakers, is currently basking in the success of his film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. He came back to the seat of directing after a long gap of seven years. And, again he surpassed all expectations with the unique storytelling of the love story of Rocky and Rani. The moviegoers are rushing to the theaters to enjoy the magic of KJo again. Now, Karan and the team of RRKPK launched the new track Kudmayi during a press conference in Mumbai on August 3. During the event, the filmmaker shared an interesting story as he said that his friends became “horrified” when he bought a bra for his mother.

Karan Johar says buying a bra for his mother was never a taboo topic

Along with many topics, Karan Johar shared a piece of interesting story of his life and that has a connection to her mother. He said that he bought a bra for his mother and that was not a big deal to him.

The filmmaker said, “It was never a taboo topic. I have gone shopping for her (mother) to buy a bra. It’s never been a problem with me but I do know that while it did it, my friends who were with me were horrified. They wondered why I did not designate this job to a female friend. And I was like ‘Why? It has been asked by my mother and why will I send somebody else to do it?'”

Karan further added that he brings essential items for his 81-year-old mother whenever she needs or wants. He said, “It could be a bra or any other item. For me, that seemed and felt organic also because I knew there’s discomfort around.”
