The film ‘The Kashmir Files’, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, has been in the midst of controversies since its inception. Many times questions have been raised about the veracity of the film, all the people of the country are giving their opinion about this film. These include from common people to the well-known people of the country and now Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has also joined them. Addressing the film recently, Gadkari said that ‘The Kashmir Files’ has presented the real history of the valley in front of everyone. This film will be remembered for a long time in the country.

An event was organized to honor the cast of the film at the India International Center in Delhi. Anupam Kher, directors Vivek Agnihotri and Pallavi Joshi were present in this program along with Nitin Gadkari. The cast and director of the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ were honored by the ‘Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora’ in the presence of Gadkari at the event. Senior BJP leader Shyam Jaju was also present in this program.

On this occasion, Gadkari said that “It is true that Kashmiri Pandits were harassed and forced to go out of Kashmir. Vivek Agnihotri has properly presented the plight of Kashmiri Pandits and their poor condition in front of everyone. I want to thank them for revisiting the history. The real history of Kashmiri Pandits was not known to the people and many attempts were made to hide this truth.” The truth and real story of Kashmir has been presented in front of the public. This film will be remembered for a long time. ‘The Kashmir Files’ will introduce the new generation to the history of Kashmiri Pandits. I thank Vivek Agnihotri for this. Some secular people are not taking interest in the film.

On the response received from Nitin Gadkari, the film’s actor Anupam Kher said, “The truth which till now was hidden from the public has now come to the fore. I acted from my heart in this film. I meditate on a particular person. Don’t want to focus but I think no one has done as much work as this government has done for Kashmiris. It is this government that removed Article 370 from Kashmir. The film is based on optimism and a lot of files will be opened in the future.”
