Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is back on screen after four long years with action film Pathaan. And his comeback has almost become like a festival for majority. The theatres are right now on fire with whistles and crackers. Pathaan is breaking all records on the box-office and it is just unstoppable.

Amidst all the noise surrounding the movie, Neha Dhupia’s old viral statement ‘either sex sells or Shah Rukh Khan’ has surfaced online. Now, the actress has reacted to it.

Taking to Twitter, Neha responded to a Twitter user’s post that stated, “Almost 2 decade ago @NehaDhupia had said in a statement ‘only sex or #ShahRukhKhan sells ‘ and that holds true even today! #Pathaan #Pathaan100crWorldwide #PathaanRoars.” In her reply, Neha called Shah Rukh Khan’s career as a ‘King’s reign’. She wrote, “20 years on, my statement rings true. This is not an “actor’s career” but a “King’s reign”! #KingKhan @iamsrk.”

For the unknown, Neha portrayed the role of a sex worker in Deepak Shivdasani’s 2004 erotic thriller Julie. During the promotions of the film, she had said that she was not affected by the sex symbol tag as Julie had several love-making scenes. Neha further asserted that at that only two things sell- Sex and Shah Rukh Khan. So, she would rather be a sex prop in her next five films.

Meanwhile, Pathaan stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. It is helmed by Siddharth Anand and bankrolled by Yash Raj Films. The movie is doing wonders on the ticket window. It has minted ₹ 542 crore in five days.
