Actress Jhanak Shukla can never be forgotten. She made a rent-free space in the hearts of millions as a child artiste by playing the role of a robot in TV show Karishma Kaa Karishma. After becoming an overnight sensation, Shukla bid adieu to showbiz at the age of 15 years. Now in a latest interview, she has opened about her decision.
What made Jhanak leave entertainment industry?
Jhanak, who recently grabbed headlines for her engagement with long time boyfriend and fitness trainer Swapnil Suryavanshi, said that quitting acting was not intentional. She stated that it all began when she started focusing on her education and by the time she completed her studies, she realized she wasn’t interested in acting.
In the interaction, Jhanak quoted, “I didn’t leave acting intentionally, it happened on its own. I was a child artiste, but at one point my parents asked me to focus on my studies and pursue acting post-graduation if I wished to. I got immersed in my studies and by the time I completed my graduation, I wasn’t interested in acting.”
She also added, “I was keen on studying further, so I did archeology. During the lockdown, I pursued my MBA and have now decided to go to Ireland to further take a degree in marketing. I will be travelling before the end of this month. However, in future if I am offered a really good character in a web show, I may take it up. I don’t want to restrict myself from doing anything that excites me. But I don’t want to be a full-time actor.”
