Salman Khan Was Not The First Choice For Karan Arjun

Karan Arjun was directed by filmmaker Rakesh Rosha. Recently, on Indian Idol, the Koi Mil Gaya director revealed that Ajay Devgn was the first choice and not Salman. He also revealed that the film was originally titled, Kainaat.

For the unversed, Karan’s character was played by Salman while Shah Rukh played Arjun. Rakhee played their mother. The story of the film was based on reincarnation. Salman-SRK’s pair became popular and so also the dialogues of the classic. One famous dialogue that is still etched in everyone’s memory is, “Mere Karan Arjun aayenge”.

Sony TV shared a promo video of Indian Idol where Rajesh Roshan said that Ajay couldn’t do the film due to some reason.

He also went went on to add that Kareena Kapoor was the original choice for Kaho Na Pyar Hai but she couldn’t do it for reasons unknown. And Ameesha Patel bagged the female lead for Hrithik Roshan’s debut film.

Shah Rukh Khan And Salman Khan’s Work Front

On the work front, Salman Khan will be seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan that also stars Pooja Hegde and Shehnaaz Gill among others. It is releasing on Eid 2023. He also has Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif. It also has Shah Rukh in a cameo role.

While Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Pathaan that is a blockbuster. The star has Atlee’s Jawan with Nayanthara and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki with Taapsee Pannu in his kitty.
