Now Indians Will Be Able To Travel To Europe, Seven EU Countries And Switzerland Approved Covishield

The crisis that arose after vaccination for Indians who wanted to go to Europe after the havoc of the coronavirus subsided, is now over. There is good news for Indian citizens preparing to go abroad. Now those Indians will be able to go on a trip to European countries. Seven countries of the European Union (EU) and Switzerland have approved India’s corona vaccine Covishield.

The ruckus over the European Union not giving green passes to those who got the Indian Vaccine Covishield has now stopped. Let us inform that the Indian vaccine Covishield was not approved by the European Union, due to which those who got this vaccine were not getting the green pass. The Government of India took this matter very seriously. Angered by the EU’s stand, India has warned that in retaliation, India will make a mandatory 14-day quarantine for travelers coming from Europe if it does not recognize Indian vaccines.

Coronavirus

The European Union’s Digital COVID Certificate Scheme or ‘Green Pass’ scheme will come into effect from Thursday, allowing free movement during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under this framework, people who have received vaccines authorized by the European Medical Agency (EMA) will be exempted from travel restrictions within the EU. Individual member states also have the freedom to accept vaccines that have been authorized at the national level or by the World Health Organization.

Vaccination

Let us tell you that initially, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) gave the reason behind not approving Covishield, saying that the vaccine does not currently have marketing authorization in the European Union. It was said that due to a slight difference in manufacturing, there can be a significant difference in the finished product because vaccines are biological products. The agency said EU law requires evaluating manufacturing sites and production processes. This is essential for the clearance of any vaccine.
