During the promotion of her next film ‘Janhit Mein Jaari,’ actress Nushrratt Bharuccha set a world record by performing Ghoomar with 6000 ladies and her co-star Anud Singh. She set a world record for the most number of persons participating in a traditional dance form at the same time.
On numerous social media sites, videos and photographs of this amazing occasion have gone viral. Thousands of ladies dressed in traditional Rajasthani clothing may be seen in the paparazzi’s post. Nusrat also looks stunning in a purple lehenga-choli. Anud also used his Instagram account to post videos and photos from the occasion.
‘Janhit Mein Jaari,’ directed by Jai Basantu Singh, follows the journey of a young lady who, against societal opposition, distributes condoms for a living and decides to deliver a vital lesson to her family, in-laws, and society at large. The video aims to make audiences laugh and open their minds to fresh ideas. The film, which also stars Pavail Gulati, Annu Kapoor, and Paritosh Tripathi, is set to hit theatres on June 10.
Nushrratt had previously went to social media to express her displeasure with the amount of backlash she was experiencing for supporting condoms in the film. Nushrratt highlighted a lot of harsh remarks made at her in a video posted to her Instagram account earlier this month after she published two posters from the film. She then said, “Bass yehi soch toh badalni hai. Koi baat nahi, aap ungli uthao aur mein aawaz uthaungi (This is the type of thinking I want to change. But no worries, you point fingers at me and I will raise my voice).”
She had also shared a poster of the film and written, “Sharam toh badtameezi se aani chahiye, suraksha rakhne mein nahi (One should be ashamed of their impolite behaviour than being safe). Yeh suchna hain #JanhitMeinJaari.”
