Off-Screen Drama: Anupamaa Star Rupali Ganguly Snubs Ousted Actress Alisha Parveen’s Allegations
Rupali Ganguly, the lead actress of the popular television show Anupamaa, has finally addressed the recent allegations made against her following the ouster of actress Alisha Parveen from the Rajan Shahi-produced show. Alisha’s departure had sent shockwaves through the television community, with the actress revealing that she was not informed about her exit. Shortly after, Alisha accused Rupali of misbehaving and feeling insecure about her growing stardom, claims which have now been categorically denied by Rupali.
In an exclusive interview with ABP News, Rupali strongly rejected all accusations made by Alisha. The actress clarified that she holds no influence over the decisions made by the show’s producer, Rajan Shahi, or the channel. “I have been part of Anupamaa for the last five years, and I have never once asked the makers to change any scenes or make alterations for my convenience,” Rupali explained.
Addressing claims about her control over her wardrobe, Rupali stated, “I have always prioritized professionalism and dedicated myself to this show. I have no control over my costume choices, and I am committed to delivering the best performance I can.” She questioned how Alisha could assert that she was the reason for her ouster, given the circumstances.
Alisha Parveen, who portrayed the character of Rahi (Aadhya), Rupali’s on-screen daughter, had previously shared her thoughts with India Forums, emphasizing that she maintained a professional relationship with everyone on set, including Rupali. Alisha confirmed that she always greeted and spoke to everyone with respect, indicating no ill-will or personal conflict.
The show, which has seen multiple cast changes over time, has also faced comments from other former cast members like Sudhanshu Pandey, Nidhi Shah, and Paras Kalnawat, who have hinted at similar issues involving Rupali. However, none of these claims have been substantiated.
Following Alisha’s departure, the role of Rahi was recast with Adrija Roy, who now stars opposite Shivam Khajuria as Prem. Viewers can expect to see Rahi and Prem’s love story unfold in upcoming episodes, with fresh dynamics taking centre stage on the show.
