Last year, on June 7, the Kannada Film industry lost a gem in the name of Chiranjeevi Sarja. The actor succumbed to a massive heart attack and left for a heavenly abode. Recently, Meghana Sunder Raj, actress, and wife of South Superstar Chiranjeevi Sarja has revealed a memorable incident that happened the day before (i.e. 6 June 2020) Chiranjeevi died.

In an interview with a leading daily, Meghana said, “The one thing that stays with me the most, is how on the night of June 6, 2020, I was fast asleep while Chiranjeevi was still awake. At some point during the night, I opened my eyes, only to see that he was just gazing at me and smiling. I asked him what he was thinking and he said ‘nothing’. The look on his face that night will remain with me forever and I think of it every single day.”

It has been a year since the actor left us but his fans seem to celebrate him every single day through various social media posts. On June 6, his wife Meghana remembered the actor fondly by sharing a throwback photo with him on Instagram. In the picture that comes straight from Meghana’s personal album, Chiranjeevi is lovingly looking at his wife while she is in a conversation with someone. Meghana has captioned the picture as, “US. MINE #chiranjeevisarja (Sic).”

This year, Meghana will take her 7-month-old son, who she calls Jr. Chiru to the late actor’s memorial for the first time. On the same, she has said, “I am taking our son to the farm that has Chiranjeevi’s memorial for the first time since his birth. I wanted June 7 to be the first time that he visits the place.”

The actress also talked about how the family is still coping with the loss. She said, “I do not like it when they cry about it. Of course, we all continue to grieve and that will never diminish, but when we talk about Chiranjeevi, I want it to be about the good things he has done and how he has always wished well for others’. Meghana was 5 months pregnant when Chiranjeevi left the World for good last year. She delivered her son on October 22, 2020. She has named him Simba.
