Selena Gomez’s video featured Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd, Steve Martin, and others announcing that their television series, Only Murders in the Building, has just gotten better with the addition of Streep.
However, details about Meryl Streep’s role in Only Murders in the Building Season 3 are unknown, as is whether she will appear as a guest or as a regular in the series. Streep’s role in Only Murders in the Building season 3 will be her first in the television series, following her appearance in HBO’s Big Little Lies season 2.
Meryl Streep is one of the most versatile Hollywood actresses, having won numerous awards, including Golden Globes, Oscars, and Emmys. Among her most well-known works are The Devil Wears Prada, Sophie’s Choice, Mamma Mia, Julie & Julia, and others.
Steve Martin also posted a group photo on Instagram, announcing that filming for the third season had begun.
Paul Rudd will join the cast of Only Murders in the Building season 3 after appearing in the season two finale.
Only Murders in the Building follows three strangers, played by Gomez, Martin, and Short, who come together to investigate a death in the apartment building where they all live.
The relationship between Alice and Mabel was also left unresolved at the end of season 2, as Alice was an artist who used Mabel’s trauma in her own work. They reached an agreement after Alice apologised to Mabel. The upcoming season will also address what happened between Ben and Charles prior to the first performance, which resulted in the delivery of vague threats.
The series, produced by 20th Television, received 17 Primetime Emmy nominations for its second season and won three.
Martin and John Hoffman co-created the series. Along with Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal, they also executive produce the show.
