Orry Booked For Consuming Alcohol Near Vaishno Devi Shrine

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered an FIR against social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, and seven others for allegedly consuming alcohol in a prohibited zone near the Vaishno Devi shrine.

According to a report by ANI, the FIR (No. 72/25) was filed at the Katra Police Station after the accused were found consuming alcohol at a hotel in Katra, a town that enforces strict rules against non-vegetarian food and intoxicants due to its religious significance.

FIR Filed Against Orry, Russian National Among Accused

The accused individuals named in the FIR include Orry, Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and Russian national Anastasila Arzamaskina. They have been charged with violating the District Magistrate’s order and allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

A police official from Reasi district told Times Now that a special team, under the supervision of senior officers including SP Katra, Dy SP Katra, and SHO Katra, has been assigned to investigate the matter. “Notices will be sent to all accused individuals, including Orry, instructing them to join the probe,” the official said.

SSP Reasi has also issued a strict warning, stating that anyone found violating laws, especially by consuming alcohol or drugs in religious areas, will face legal action.

Vaishno Devi Shrine’s Religious Significance

The Vaishno Devi temple, one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in Hinduism, attracts millions of devotees each year. The surrounding areas, including Katra, maintain strict religious guidelines prohibiting alcohol and non-vegetarian food out of respect for the shrine’s sanctity.

The alleged incident at the Cottage Suit area in Katra has sparked outrage among devotees and local authorities, who view such actions as a direct violation of religious norms.

Who is Orry?

Orhan Awatramani, widely known as Orry, is a social media personality known for his close ties with Bollywood celebrities. A regular at high-profile industry parties, he is often seen alongside actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Urvashi Rautela, and Bhumi Pednekar.

The incident has put him under legal scrutiny, with police vowing strict action against any violation of religious site regulations. Further investigations are underway.
