However, a few objects are thrown in her direction once more shortly after she starts conversing with the audience about the dialogue they want her to say.

While the host says, “Please say a dialogue from your film,” Mahira responds, “Now, saying a dialogue doesn’t make sense when you are throwing things here.”

Mahira Khan Shared A Video On Instagram

Mahira Khan addressed the incident on Instagram and shared a video from the event and a statement as the videos went viral.

The statement read, “What happened at the event was uncalled for. No one should think it’s okay to throw something on stage, even if it’s a flower wrapped up in a paper plane. It sets the wrong precedent. It is unacceptable. There are times I get scared, not just for myself but for others who may be trapped in a mob like-situation.”

The actor said how, when they were on their way back, she heard someone say, “After this, we won’t have an event here,” with which Mahira disagreed, as she felt that wouldn’t be the “solution.”.

‘…1 out of 10,000’

As Mahira continued, she highlighted the fact that the crowd was showing love in the way they knew was best. She could see that they didn’t know how to contain/express their excitement. Whoever the miscreant was was 1 out of 10,000. She also asserted the need for more events like in the cities of Pakistan.

“What I do feel strongly about is this – we NEED more events such as these in more cities of Pakistan. The more you are exposed the more you are aware and educated. Normalize it. And see what happens. People, cities, our culture, our understanding of each other (which lacks), unity (which lacks even more). It will all flourish,” the statement further read.
