Parag Tyagi Dismisses Rumors Around Shefali Jariwala’s Death: ‘Stop Spreading Misinformation’

The sudden death of actor Shefali Jariwala in June this year left fans and the entertainment industry in shock. Speculations quickly surfaced, suggesting that the 42-year-old had died after consuming anti-ageing medication on an empty stomach. Now, her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, has spoken out to address these rumors and clarify the events surrounding her death.

In a heartfelt podcast uploaded to their joint YouTube channel, Shefali Parag Tyagi, Parag called the circulating information “half-baked” and urged people to stop spreading misinformation.

Parag Tyagi Clarifies Rumours

“This is half-baked information,” Parag said. “Which of these were anti-ageing medicines? Shefali didn’t like taking multivitamin tablets daily because she would forget. So instead, she opted for IV drips once a month. These included multivitamins, Vitamin C, collagen, and glutathione, which is one of the best antioxidants. That’s it—nothing harmful, nothing extreme.”

Parag also addressed the claims that Shefali was fasting on the day she passed away. “Yes, she was fasting that day, but it’s being misrepresented,” he explained. “She performed pooja, then had food and rested. She ate again later. It wasn’t like she starved the whole day. People are jumping to conclusions without knowing the full story.”

He emphasized that Shefali believed in discipline and self-care rather than depending on extreme beauty treatments. “She controlled her diet, yes, but she never deprived herself. Sundays were for ice cream or Chinese food. She lived a very balanced life,” he said.

About Shefali Jariwala

Shefali Jariwala, who gained fame from the early 2000s remix hit Kaanta Laga, died on June 27 at the age of 42. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by Parag but was declared dead on arrival. While many reports claimed she died of cardiac arrest, the official cause of death remains unclear. Following the autopsy, police stated that the cause was “reserved,” pending further medical analysis.

Over the years, Shefali expanded her presence in the entertainment industry, participating in several television reality shows such as Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss 13. Her vibrant personality and fitness-focused lifestyle won her a loyal fan base.

Parag expressed frustration over the spread of false stories, especially regarding her supposed health habits. “I don’t know where this fasting story came from. People just picked it up and spread it without verifying. I urge everyone—please find out the truth before talking. It’s hurtful and disrespectful to her memory,” he pleaded.

As the final word, Parag stressed that the speculations around anti-ageing treatments and fasting were completely out of context. He appealed for sensitivity and respect, not just for Shefali but for all families who deal with grief in the public eye.
